HOLDEN – Michael J. Ivanisin, 80, of 100 Mark Bradford Drive, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005 in Saint Vincent Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 39 years, Evelyn H. (McAuliffe) Ivanisin; two sons, John M. Ivanisin and Paul J. Ivanisin of Holden; a daughter, Susan R. Ivanisin of Holden; a sister, Mary James of Portland, Maine; nieces and nephews. A sister, Ann Wormel predeceased him. He was born in Woodland, Maine, son of Paul and Maria (Bires) Ivanisin and had lived in Holden since 1976.
Mr. Ivanisin worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Riley Stoker Company for 40 years before retiring in 1984. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. George’s Church and an avid collector of hats. He also enjoyed taking pictures.
The funeral Mass for Mr. Ivanisin will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 21, in St. George’s Church, 40 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 20 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
