Biography
SPENCER – Michael J. Brennan, 58, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was a son of the late George and Elinore (Streeter) Brennan.
Michael was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School in Holden and attended UMass, Amherst where he studied political science. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Brimfield, and recently he enjoyed attending services at the Holden Chapel. Michael was employed by Reed Rolled Thread Company in Auburn where he worked as a machine operator. He was previously employed by Fed-Ex and FLEXcon in Spencer where he was a production supervisor. Michael had many passions including music and cooking; however, nothing compared to the love he had for his children. Michael’s infectious personality filled every room and his generosity knew no bounds. He was famous for his boisterous laugh, his bear hugs and his iconic “Mickey yelp.”
He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his children: Meagan C. Brennan of Providence, RI, Kyle C. Brennan of Austin, TX and Colleen C. Brennan of Amherst, MA; his loving partner with whom he lived, Melissa Tuttle of Spencer; his sister, Robbin Clark and her husband, Stephen of Lowell, VT and their son, Stephen of Orlando, FL. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, George E. Brennan and a sister, Virginia D. Brennan. Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Michael’s family from 12 to 2 pm on Sunday, April 22 at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A celebration of Michael’s life will follow at 2 pm. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 350 5th Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
