Michael N. Abodeely

SHREWSBURY – Michael N. Abodeely, Jr., 81, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He was born Worcester the son of Michael N., Sr. and Evelyn (Maykel) Abodeely.Michael graduated from Worcester Academy, Amherst College with a BA in history then on to Boston University to receive his law degree in 1961. He joined his father’s law office in Worcester and practiced law for 56 years.He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Daphne (Angelis) Abodeely; his two daughters, Stephanie Carlson and her husband, Jonathan of Worcester and Melissa Ruhl and her husband, Dr. Charles Ruhl of Barrington, Rhode Island; two brothers, Paul A. Abodeely and his wife, Carol of Seattle, WA and John E. Abodeely and his wife, Evryklia of Marstons Mills; five grandchildren, Alexander and Nils Carlson, Emily, Charles and Julia Ruhl; several nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14th in St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street, Worcester officiated by Rev. Fr. Milad Selim. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael’s name to St. George Orthodox Cathedral, Endowment Fund, 30 Anna Street, Worcester, MA 01604 or to the YMCA of Central Massachusetts, 75 Shore Drive, Worcester, MA 01605.
