HOLDEN, MA / MONSON, ME – Lee M. Hooper, 66, of Monson, Maine, formerly of Holden, died on Sunday, April 1, 2007, in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in West Roxbury.

He leaves his son, Gary L. Hooper and his wife Karen of Princeton; a daughter, Diana S. Lawrence and her husband Jeff of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two brothers, Donald L. Hooper of Delaware, Maryland, and Neal C. Hooper of Princeton; four grandchildren, Nathan, Emma, Sydney and Sebastian. A brother, William R. Hooper, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester the son of Leslie J. and Edith C. (Stockwell) Hooper and lived many years in Holden before moving to Monson in 1991.

Lee graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1958 and later from the Culinary Institute in Connecticut. He worked for R.E. Chapman Company in Oakdale for eight years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral service for Lee will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 6, in the funeral home. The family request that flowers be omitted.
