HOLDEN – Karen M. (Hutch) Gallagher, 60, of 65 Canal Street, Millbury, died Sunday, December 3, 2006, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.
She leaves her daughter, Maura C. Gallagher of Leominster; her mother, Maureen A. (Foley) Hutch of Marlborough; two sisters, Jane F. Correia of Worcester and Suellen Hutch Landers of Marlborough, a grandson, Sean Martin of Leominster; nephews and nieces; and two great-nephews. Her husband, Martin J. Gallagher, Jr. died in 1999. Her brother, Harry Hutch, predeceased her. She was born in Marlborough, daughter of the late James F. Hutch, and lived in Holden before recently moving to Millbury.
Mrs. Gallagher graduated from St. Anne’s Academy in Marlborough and the Chandler School for Women in Boston. For years, she was a medical secretary for local doctors. More recently she worked at Filene’s Dept. Store in Auburn.
The funeral for Mrs. Gallagher will be held on Thursday, December 7, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, in the funeral home.
