Menucha (Wagman) Nestelbaum

August 21, 1927 — May 18, 2021

WORCESTER - Menucha (Wagman) Nestelbaum of 16 Beeching Street died Tuesday morning May 18, 2021 at home. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Elimelech Nestelbaum in 2002 and her mother Sonia (Lubich) Wagman in 1980. She leaves her daughter Liora Weinberg (Lee) of Pittsburgh, Her sons Zamir Nestelbaum (Leah) of New York City, and her son David Nestelbaum of Worcester. In addition she leaves 7 grandchildren: Ariella Reinherz (Adam), Sam Weinberg (Becky), Sonia Schwartz (Oren), Miriam Weinberg, Max Nestelbaum, Nick Nestelbaum and Ethan Nestelbaum. Mrs. Nestelbaum also leaves 11 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Nestelbaum was born in Luxembourg on August 21, 1927. Her father Mordechai and her brother Henry, along with many others in her family were murdered in the Holocaust, which somehow she survived. After the war she settled in the State of Israel where she had Liora and Zamir, then moved to the United States where she had David. Mrs. Nestelbaum lived in Worcester for 63 years and was a member of Shaarei Torah West. She was also active in Amit Women and a member of Hadassah and various Holocaust related organizations. She was an avid reader and was active in the family real estate business as well as a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who liked nothing better than to speak with her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. While Mrs. Nestelbaum will be sorely missed, her memory will be a blessing to all who knew her.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Holy Society Cemetery on Cemetery Road in Leicester under the care of Richard Perlman of Miles Funeral Home of Holden. Memorial donations may be made to Shaarai Torah West, 835 Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA 01602.
