Melissa (Castellani) Tuttle

RUTLAND/SPENCER – Melissa (Castellani) Tuttle, 46, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, June 21, 2018. She was born in Worcester and had lived most of her life in Rutland before moving to Spencer.
She leaves her three children, Emily C. Tuttle of Worcester, Amie R. Tuttle of Rutland and Nick H. Tuttle of Rutland; her mother, Linda (Cole) Bergstrom and her husband, Peter of Holden; her father, Anthony A. Castellani, Sr. of Jefferson; her sister, Stephanie T. Elder and her fiancé, Chris of Rockport; her brother, Anthony A. Castellani, Jr. and his wife, Mel of Michigan; two step-sisters, Amanda R. Bergstrom of Guelph, Ontario, Canada and Emily J. Logan of Salem; her former husband, James H. Tuttle of Rutland; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and  cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Kimberly Castellani in 1976 and her loving partner, Michael J. Brennan on April 18, 2018.
Melissa graduated from Wachusett Regional High School, Becker College with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and earned her Master’s degree from Fitchburg State College. She was a retail manager at Dress Barn in Northborough. Previously, she owned and operated Knit One Quilt Two in West Boylston and was a manager at Rutland Pharmacy and Michael’s in Shrewsbury. Melissa was very artistic and she enjoyed quilting, knitting, and making cakes of all types. She loved her animals, especially her Hedgehog, Priscilla. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend, she will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Melissa’s family from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, June 27 in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to hopefordepression.org
