S Jean (Megarry) Robbins Scott

December 16, 1941 — June 22, 2011

WORCESTER � Jean (Megarry) Robbins Scott, 69, of Burncoat Street, died at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, June 22, 2011.

Jean was born on December 16, 1941, the daughter of the late Edward and Jean (McLeod) Megarry and grew up in Westport Point and West Brookfield. She graduated from North Brookfield High School and attended Becker Junior College and UMass Amherst and graduated from Hartford Technical College in Hartford, CT.

She worked as a manufacturing engineer at General Dynamics in Groton, CT and Quincy and for the past 16 years was team leader and sales representative for Canine Fence of Wilton, CT. She was also a certified Reiki practitioner.

A world traveler and outdoor enthusiast, Jean was an avid horsewoman, who particularly enjoyed trailriding, hiking and scuba diving,

Jean leaves behind her husband, Earl Scott; her sons, Jeffrey Robbins (Shannon) of East Hampton, CT and Bruce Robbins (Freddie) of Santa Clara, CA; her stepdaughter, Michelle Scott Brunelle of Holden; her stepson, Matthew Scott (Kate) of Bellevue, NE; and her sisters, Susan Megarry Reed (Donald) of Ojai, CA and C. Joyce Megarry (Edward) of Oakham.

A memorial service for Jean will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 25th, at St. Michael's On The Heights Episcopal Church, 340 Burncoat Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite animal shelter; or to UMass Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is assisting the family with arrangements.
