S Margaret M. (Colligan) Jamieson

RUTLAND – Margaret M. (Colligan) Jamieson, 88, of Barre-Paxton Rd., died peacefully on Saturday, September 18, 2010, in Holden Nursing Home.

Her husband, William Jamieson, died in 1988. She leaves a daughter, Mary S. Dolan and her husband Thomas of Rutland; a step-daughter, Sara Emery of Lewiston, Maine; a brother, John Colligan of England; three grandchildren, James Gallo and his wife Bruna of Florida, Michele Thebodo and her husband, Steven of East Brookfield, and Michael Gallo and his fianceé Becky of Rochdale; nine great-grandchildren; three nieces and a great niece. A daughter, Ann Jamieson and a brother, Peter Colligan, predeceased her. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Smith) Colligan and lived 29 years in Worcester, 16 years in Charlton, before moving to Rutland in 2001.

Mrs. Jamieson worked at Paul Revere Life Insurance Company in Worcester for 20 years retiring in 1985. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 23rd in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
