Maurice G. Poulin

October 2, 1934 — March 8, 2018

Sterling - Maurice G. Poulin, 83, died peacefully on Thursday, March 8, at Life Care Center, Leominster. He was born in Clinton, the son of Maurice and Anna Marie (Nichols) Poulin and had been a Sterling resident for 58 years. His wife of 63 years, Beverly A. (Pfieffer) Poulin passed away in 2017. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, David M. Poulin and his wife, Anna of Stuart, FL; his daughter, Laurie E. Crandall and her husband, Craig of West Boylston; his brothers, Donald Poulin of Gardner and Leo Poulin of Georgia; his sister, Dorothy Pray; his grandchildren, Amy Thomas, Meagen Faith Crandall, Jason Poulin, Jonathan Poulin, Taylor Poulin and Justin Poulin; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Daniel R. Poulin; his brother, Louis Poulin; and his sisters, Theresa Bashaw and Barbara Ranzowski. Maurice graduated from Worcester Boy's Trade School. He had a passion for construction that drove him to start Poulin Construction Co. which he operated for close to sixty years. Maurice and his beloved wife, Beverly had homes in Sterling and on the island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. They were involved in many development and construction projects in both communities where they had gained many close friends. Maurice and Beverly were members of Hope Chapel in Sterling and Maurice was a life member of Clinton Lodge of Masons and was also proud to be a Shriner. He was an avid outdoorsman and cherished his time hunting in the woods, as well as deep sea fishing. Maurice and Beverly enjoyed travelling the world and experiencing all the wonderful things it had to offer. Above all they treasured their family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service honoring and celebrating Maurice and Beverly on Friday, March 16th at Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. John Cancer Fund, P.O.
