Matthew P. Starr

June 14, 1995 — August 5, 2024

WORCESTER - Matthew Patrick Starr passed away in the early hours the morning of August 5th, 2024, at his home in Worcester, MA. Matt was born in Worcester on June 14th, 1995, and was raised in Sterling, MA. Matt is survived by his twin brother Tyler and his parents, Susan and Timothy Starr, his uncles and aunts Jay and Megan Starr of Cranston, Ed and Mary White of Holden, and his cousins Evan and Lela Starr, Joe and Scott White, and Danielle Bricault.

Matt attended Wachusett Regional high school and won a scholarship based on his high SAT scores. He then attended UMass Amherst, majoring in resource economics, and worked as a contract renewal specialist for Dell Computer. Dell assigned Matt their legacy customers because of his great service skills, and his customers loved him. He enjoyed literature, history, and culture. He loved music, was an excellent guitarist, but was shy about his singing. Matthew was sensitive, witty, had a wonderful sense of humor, and charmed whomever he met. His smile was infectious! He deeply loved his mother and both his grandmothers. Matt was a wonderful friend and still spent time with people he met in grammar school.

A remembrance for Matt will be held on Sunday, August 11th noon until 2:00 pm at Mile's Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, with a reception to follow at the residence of Ed and Mary White of 37 Phillips Road, Holden.

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31.
