PAXTON - Matthew “Matt” M. Larson, age 45, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester after a brief illness. Born in Worcester, Matt was the son of Chester and Cheryl Ann (Dutil) Rossier.
Matt spent his youth in Paxton, graduating from Wachusett Regional High School in 1992. He followed his passion of cooking and went on to work as a chef for many places throughout his life, most notably at Tatnuck Book Seller in Worcester and later at EMC in Hopkinton. On an ideal day, Matt could be found casting his fishing pole into the Quabbin Reservoir with his good friend John Derr. Matt was nothing short of being an entertainer. He always had something to say and will be remembered for his wit and sarcasm.
Matt is survived by his parents Chester D. Rossier and his wife, Cheryl of Paxton; and two sisters, Elizabeth M. Rossier of Paxton, Amy C. Tarquinio and her husband, Jeffrey of New Braintree.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for calling hours from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Monday, July 6 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden (appropriate COVID-19 protocol will be observed including the use of face masks and social distancing). A celebration of life service will take place following the calling hours at 6:00 pm in the funeral home.
