STERLING/LEOMINSTER – Salina Mary (Sesia) Lizewski, 88, of Leominster, formerly of Sterling, died Monday, August 25, 2008 in the Life Care Center of Leominster.
She was born and raised in Sterling, daughter of Felix and Lucrecia (Porter) Sesia, and lived in Sterling until moving to Leominster in 1997. Her husband, Henry "Biscuit" Lizewski, died in 1972. She leaves her daughter, Elizabeth A. O'Sullivan and her husband Peter of Groton and a grandson, Matthew O'Sullivan of Groton. Her sister, Anne Hasselman, and three brothers, Aldo, Maurice and Frank Sesia, predeceased her.
Along with her husband, Salina was co-owner and operator of the 140 Club in Sterling for 20 years. Many years ago she worked for Buck's Chair Factory. She was a former member of St. Richard of Chichester Church, and was a member of "The Greatest Generation" - noted for their dedication to God and country.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 28th, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. The funeral for Salina will be held on Friday, August 29th, from the funeral home with a 11 a.m. Mass in St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge St., Sterling. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road (Rte. 62), Sterling. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts, One Bulfinch Place #2, Boston, MA 02114.
