HOLDEN – MaryJane (McGuirk) Donovan, 56, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester on Sunday, March 2, 2014. She was born and raised in Worcester, the youngest daughter of William T., Sr. and H. Irene (Kelleher) McGuirk.
She graduated from Marion High School in 1975, attended Worcester State College and began her career at New England Telephone Co. where she worked for 12 years. She married her husband, Kevin in 1983 and together they began their family while living in Worcester before moving to Holden 24 years ago. After raising her children, she worked as a pharmacy tech at Stat-Care Pharmacy in Grafton.
A devoted mother, she was very proud of her 4 children who were always her first priority. She enjoyed traveling and family vacations at Horseneck Beach and loved going to the casinos.
MaryJane leaves her devoted husband of 30 years, Kevin D. Donovan; her 2 sons, Sean P. Donovan of Atlanta, GA and Christopher M. Donovan of Worcester; her 2 daughters, Katie A. Donovan and Bridget A. Donovan both of Holden; nephews and nieces; and grandnephews and grandnieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, March 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service celebrating MaryJane’s life will be held in the funeral home on Friday, March 7 at 3 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, West 6th floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
