HOLDEN/WORCESTER – Mary Frances (Warren) Morin, 54, of Holden, died peacefully at home in the presence of her loving family and close friends on Sunday, April 13, 2014.
Born in Queens, New York, Mary was the only daughter of Samuel B. and Frances (Williamson) Warren, and lived in Worcester for over 43 years before moving to Holden five years ago. She graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in 1977, received a business degree from Assumption College and was currently working towards an M.B.A. from Boston University.
Mary was a business analyst at Norton Co. for 18 years, later spent five years at Commerce Insurance Co. as a project manager, and more recently was a project manager for Fallon Community Health Plan.
An active member of St. George Church in Worcester, Mary was also the Youth Ministry CYC Director for 10 years. She was a member of the Wachusett area newcomers club, enjoyed quilting and was a member of a local quilting group, and cherished time spent at the family summer home in Bourne.
First and foremost to Mary was spending time with her family. She will be lovingly missed and remembered as a generous and kind hearted person with a loving spirit.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, John R. Morin; her daughters of whom she was very proud, Erica S. Morin and her fiancé, Andrew Malpass of Holden, and Samantha L. Morin, U.S. Navy, currently stationed at the Naval Base San Diego; three brothers, Jonathan W. Warren and his wife Justine, and Jeffrey P. Warren and his fiancée, Jacqueline Sherwin, all of Worcester, and Michael F. Warren of Ayer; a granddaughter who was the apple of her eye, Victoria; a grandson “on the way”, Francis; and nephews and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mary’s family from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Liturgy of the Word will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, in St. George Church, 38 Brattle St., Worcester.
