She worked for many years at Chase Paper and Southborough Medical Group.

Betty enjoyed traveling. Among her favorite places were Alaska, London and Paris. Her favorite pastimes included sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Besides driving a motorhome to Alaska and the Northeast for 4 months, she camped with Bob in the last 10 years in their trailer with up to 3 dogs. Their favorite places were Humarock in Scituate and the Northeast. They also enjoyed a river cruise along the Rhine River and another from Quebec to Boston.

When Betty became aware of the many children that didn't have a warm coat, hats or mittens during the cold winter months, she made it her mission to change that. Her many friends in the St Mary's Church shawl ministry and American Sewing Guild helped her begin making fleece hats and mittens for children and adults in need. Just last year 380 hats, mittens and scarfs were made and given to the local Knights of Columbus and they found organizations to distribute them. She had been a member of American Sewing Guild for many years, one of the groups, the Dolls and More, each year collecting over 100 - 18" dolls, sewing several outfits for each doll and making totes to carry them all in. Making a wonderful gift for many disadvantaged girls. Betty enjoyed making doll clothes throughout the year and making different outfits for her own collection of dolls. She has made many shawls for the shawl ministry, and many quilts for family and friends and has donated some as well.

The family would like to thank the staff from Visiting Angels and Ascend Hospice for their caring assistance in Betty's care at home.
