MILPITAS, CA – Mary Ann (Naylor) Pavack, 70, a lifelong resident of California, died on Saturday, May 14, 2011 in the Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, West Boylston, MA after an illness.
She is survived by her son, Kevin M. Pavack of Beaverton, OR; a daughter, Deborah "Debbie" A. Cary and her husband Thomas of Sterling; and five grandchildren, Christopher, Bryan, Katelyn, Miranda and Brayden. She was born on July 1, 1940 in Stanford, CA the daughter of George W. and Gertrude M. (Knopik) Naylor and graduated from Menlo-Atherton High School.
Mary Ann was an administrative assistant for the California Nurses Association retiring in 2005. Previously, she worked for Lincoln National Life in Pleasanton, CA and was the owner and operator of Pet Parade in San Jose, CA. She was an active member of the American Kennel Club, specializing in Doberman Pinschers. Mary Ann was a former member of St. Elizabeth Church, loved watching and rooting for the 49ers and the San Jose Sharks.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 28th, in the Holy Cross Cemetery, located at the corner of Santa Cruz and Avy Avenues in Menlo Park, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is assisting the family with arrangements.
