Mark Z. Wescott

May 13, 1961 — June 18, 2014

GRAFTON - Mark Z. Wescott, 53, of Grafton, passed away with family by his side on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 after a very brief illness. He was born and raised in Waltham, son of the late Gordon and Jean (Zwicker) Wescott. He lived in Brockton and Plymouth before moving to Grafton 10 years ago.

Mark was a graduate of Waltham High School and UMass Lowell. He worked for Genzyme / Sanofi in Framingham for nearly 20 years where he was the Associate Director for Information Systems for North America. He was a longtime enthusiastic member and usher at Bethlehem Bible Church in West Boylston. An avid photographer, a camera was never far from his hands. His greatest treasure was the time he spent with his family.

He leaves his beloved wife, Kim (Robinson) Wescott; his two step-children, James Mihelidakis of Boston, and Melissa Buddensee and her husband, Brent of Bedford, NH; his two grandchildren, Brandelwyn and Arwyn; a sister, Darcie Sunnerberg and her husband, Eric of Burlington, and their children Timothy, Melanie and Marisa.

Mark lived every part of his life with passion, but the passion that brought him the most joy, the one that really lit up his eyes and his heart, was just being “Gwawmpa” to his precious grandbabies, Brandelwyn and Arwyn.

All are invited to attend an informal gathering to share memories and celebrate Mark’s life on Saturday, June 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mrs. Mack's Bakery, 1393 Grafton Street, Worcester. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, at Bethlehem Bible Church, 307 Lancaster Street, West Boylston. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to David’s House, ( www.davids-house.org ) 461 Mt. Support Road, Lebanon, NH 03766. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
