HOLDEN - Mark R. Lemoine, 56, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, after an illness. He was born in Limestone, ME, the son of Girard A. and Rita A. (Raymond) Lemoine and had lived in Princeton before moving to Holden twenty years ago.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Gail M. (Campos) Lemoine; his son, Michael J. Lemoine and his spouse, Lindsey of Ashburnham; his brothers, John A. Lemoine and his wife, Kathleen of Princeton, and Joel G. Lemoine of Holden; his sister, Kristin M. Lemoine-Tupper and her husband, Robert of Holden; his granddaughter, Nora; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mark was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School, class of 1984, then attended college at Central New England College where he studied Mechanical Engineering. Mark grew up in the military world as the son of an Air Force Veteran. He lived across the United States and even in Germany when he was young.
Though Mark was unable to follow in his father's footsteps and join the military, he instead found a way to support his country by working in the defense industry. Early in his career, he worked at Raytheon for 9 years and later was lucky to find his home as a contractor at Hanscom Air Force Base where he proudly supported the warfighter for the past 13+ years.
Mark wasn't given an entirely healthy life, but he sure did live it. He never complained, it was his sheer will of spirit that kept him going, making many friends along the way. Mark enjoyed planes and going to air shows, listening to music and seeing live bands of any kind, traveling whenever possible, sharing jokes just like his father, playing cards, and hanging out with friends. But it was being with his family and dogs where he was most happy. He was especially proud of his son who serves his community as a first responder at the Westminster Fire Department.
Mark touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 23rd in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Mark will be held 10:00 am on Monday, October 24th with a Mass of Christian Burial in Prince of Peace Church, 1 Worcester Road, Princeton.
