HOLDEN – Marjorie V. Spring, 88, of 17C Flagler Drive, formerly of 60 Princeton Street, Jefferson, died Saturday, December 24, 2005, in Knollwood Nursing Center, West Boylston, after a brief struggle with lung cancer.
She leaves her brother, Kenneth Collins of Schererville, Indiana; two sisters, Joan Mills of Jefferson and Alice Caruso and her husband Frank of Holden; her extended family, William and Betty Ann (Locke) Hale and Peter and Elizabeth (Hale) Davidian of Holden; several nieces and nephews. She was born and raised in Holden by her grandparents, Charles and Nellie (Collins) Spring.
Marjorie graduated Holden High School in 1935 and was a homemaker and nanny for many years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and enjoyed gardening and sewing Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls.
The funeral for Marjorie will be held on Wednesday, December 28, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1325 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, in the funeral home.
