HOLDEN/TUSCON, AZ – Marjorie R. (McCutcheon) Andrews, 96, formerly of Holden, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 under the loving care of her family and the hospice staff at The Villas at LaCanada Assisted Living in Tucson, AZ. She was born on May 4, 1917 at the Holden Cottage Hospital, the daughter of Frederick and Georgia (Rich) McCutcheon and lived in Holden for 80 years before moving to AZ in 1998.
Her loving husband of 66 years, Harold Andrews, died in 2004. She is survived by her son, Donald W. Andrews of Winchendon; a daughter, Gail Johnston of Dallas, OR; five grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorice (McCutcheon) Cornwall and her brother, Donald F. McCutcheon.
Mrs. Andrews graduated from Holden High School and Becker College. She was a secretary and bookkeeper at both State Mutual Co. in Worcester and Sunnyside Ford Co. in Holden. Mrs. Andrews was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Holden and a 75-year member of Holden Grange.
A private graveside service will be held in the spring at Grove Cemetery, Holden. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
