Marjorie 'Marge' Mccarthy

RUTLAND – Marjorie “Marge” A. (Livingston) McCarthy, 84, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Life Care Center of Leominster after an illness.Her loving husband of 53 years, Robert E. McCarthy, passed away in 2013. She leaves her son, Edward O. Gelinas, Jr. and his wife, Debra of Harvard; her daughter-in-law, Barbara A. Gelinas of Worcester; her sister, Mary Regonini of Georgia; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her son, Gene Paul Gelinas and her step-son, Patrick McCarthy.Marge was born in Worcester, the daughter of Raymond and Catherine (McGann) Livingston and had lived in Rutland since 1975. She worked at Devereux School in Rutland for many years and was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. She enjoyed traveling, crafts and making specialty cakes.Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, February 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a service at 1 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
