WORCESTER – Frances "Marion" M. (Hurley) Norris, 92, formerly of Worcester, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 10, 2007 in the Life Care Center, Lynn.
Her husband of 45 years, Thomas J. Norris, died in 1984. She leaves her son, Thomas J. Norris of Lowell; three grandchildren, Teresa J. Keene of Burlington, Kelly M. Bettger of Salem and Kevin R. Norris of Lynn; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Norris was born in Millbury, daughter of Francis and Stella (Devoe) Hurley, and lived in Worcester before moving to Lynn three years ago. For 20 years she worked as an inspector for Phalo Plastics in Shrewsbury, retiring in 1980. She was known in life as a hard worker and a thoughtful and caring person. She adored her grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a calling hour from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 14th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral Mass for Mrs. Norris will be at 10 a.m. on Monday in St. Patrick’s Church, 290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
