Marion R. (Schollard) Grant

HOLDEN – Marion R. (Schollard) Grant, 83, of 88 River Street and formerly of Fairchild Drive, died Thursday, January 27, 2005, in UMass Memorial, Worcester.
Her husband of 56 years, Stephen M. Grant, died in 2000. She lived with her daughter, Charlotte A. Hanks Grant, and her brother, John D. Schollard of Holden. She also leaves seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A brother, Paul Schollard, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Daniel J. and Anne M. (Fanning) Schollard, and has lived in Holden since 1952.
Mrs. Grant graduated from South High School in Worcester. She enjoyed art, music, gardening and being with her family.
A memorial service for Mrs. Grant will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will be in the spring in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross, Worcester Chapter, 61 Harvard St., Worcester, MA 01609.
