PRINCETON – Marion E. (Getchell) Martocci, 98, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, after an illness. She was born in Malden, the daughter of Ralph, Sr., and Marion (Hale) Getchell, and had lived most of her life in Princeton.
Her loving husband of 54 years, Joseph H. Martocci, passed away in 1997. She leaves her sons, Michael Martocci of Leicester, and Edward Martocci of Princeton; her daughters, Judith Thibodeau and her husband, Neil, Sr. of Worcester, Catherine “Kitty” Lawton and her husband, Gary of Worcester, Patricia Greenough of Connecticut, Donna Martocci of New Bedford, and Susan DeMaila of Charlton; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Ann Marie (Barrett) Martocci.
Marion worked at Justice Hill Orchard in Sterling for many years before retiring. Previously, she worked part-time as a dispatcher for the Princeton Police Department. She was devoted to her family and could always be found at the Princeton Library on Thursday afternoons.
At her request, funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family at Woodlawn Cemetery in Princeton.
