WORCESTER – Marion Saad Jazzar, it is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Saad Jazzar, at the age of 90. She passed away peacefully at Chateau Westmount in Montreal, Quebec on November 3rd, 2012. Marion will reunite with “the love of her life” for 67 years, her late husband, Raymond Jazzar who passed away earlier this year on June 12, 2012.
She will be deeply missed by her loving daughters Donna and Carol of Montreal and Deborah, her son-in-law Christian Coury, her most cherished grandson Alexander of Holden and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Canada and the United States.
Marion was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose kindness, generosity and positive attitude towards life brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a loyal friend to many. She worked tirelessly for her church and served as President of the Ladies Auxilary of St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church in Montreal for seven terms (1972-1974, 1978, 1984-85, 1988). She also served as Vice President of the St. Nicholas Church Board of Directors (1988-89).
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marion’s family at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 9th, 2012 at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George Orthodox Cathedral, Endowment Fund, 30 Anna Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
