WORCESTER – Marion (Kiewra) Fleurant, 95, formerly of Worcester, died peacefully under the loving care of her family and the staff at the Holden Rehab. and Skilled Nursing Center on Monday, October 1, 2012. Her husband of 46 years, Horace Fleurant, died in 1982.
Marion was born one of eight children on August 12, 1917 in Worcester, and was the daughter of Frank and Anna (Kolenda) Kiewra. She lived in Worcester most of her life and graduated from St. Mary’s School. She was a seamstress at Diane Marion in Worcester for many years, and a secretary at State Mutual Life Assurance Company for 11 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Church.
She is survived by three sons, Richard F. Fleurant, Kenneth J. Fleurant and his wife Paula of Greenbay, WI, and Daniel J. Fleurant and his wife Laraine of Holden; a daughter, Marion A. Breen and her husband William of Newmarket, NH; a sister, Teresa Kalinowski of Leicester; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Three brothers, Stanley, Alfred and William Kiewra, and three sisters, Josephine Waskiewicz, Jane Vieraitis and Betty Gorczynski predeceased her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 8, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 9, from the funeral home with a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 10 in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
