Marion E. (French) Lecuyer

WEST BOYLSTON - Marion E. (French) Lecuyer, 76, of 166 Goodale Street, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law after a long battle with cancer.

She leaves her husband of 55 years, Norman P. Lecuyer; a son, Kevin P. Lecuyer of West Boylston; a daughter, Siobhan M. Bohnson and her husband Paul C. of West Boylston; a brother, James C. French of Stamford, CT; four grandchildren, Lynne E. and Shannon M. Lecuyer of Sterling, Bridget M. and Kayla E. Bohnson of West Boylston; nephews and nieces. A son, Michael P. Lecuyer, a brother, Patrick French of Worcester, and two sisters, Kathleen Tessier of Connecticut and Eileen French of Worcester, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of James C. and Delia (O’Malley) French, both from Kilarney, Ireland. She graduated from Ascension High School and Salter Secretarial School.

Mrs. Lecuyer lived in the Morningdale section of Boylston for 40 years and then lived in South Yarmouth on Cape Cod for many years. She worked as a medical secretary for St. Vincent’s Hospital and for Dr. Joseph Furcinnitti’s private practice, both in Worcester. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and was an avid reader.

The funeral will be held Friday, March 26, 2004, from the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 26, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7 Oak Street, Worcester, MA 01609; or to the Beaman Memorial Public Library, 8 Newton Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
