Biography
HOLDEN - Marilyn A. (Kobel) Stevens, 77, a former resident of Sarasota, Florida, passed away October 20, 2016. Marilyn was born on September 25, 1939, to the late Frank W. and Mary (Cronin) Kobel and raised in Worcester. She was an administrator at the Bodwitch & Dewey law firm in Worcester for 10 years. Marilyn loved to travel with her husband, George and lit up when her children and grandchildren entered the room. Marilyn is survived by her husband, George Stevens; her children, Melissa E. Haggar, Kathryn B. Haggar, Christopher R. Haggar (Teri Stavinsky), Marc Stevens (Sylvie Roberts), and Christine M. Stevens; her grandchildren, Lauren A. Haggar, Alexander C. Haggar, Anna B. Stevens and Samuel G. Stevens; her brother, David “Peter” Kobel; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank “Bill” Kobel.Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marilyn’s family on Sunday, October 30, from 12 to 2 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family at Hope Cemetery in Worcester.
