Marilyn A. (Brownell) Anderson

Biography
SHREWSBURY – Marilyn A. (Brownell) Anderson, 76, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at UMass Memorial Healthcare-University Campus after an illness. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Charles N. and Anna F. (Kitson) Brownell. She graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in Holden and later in life attended Boston University.

Marilyn leaves two sons, Steven R. Anderson and his wife, Elizangela of Acton and Scott C. Anderson and his partner, Dave of Union, CT; a sister, Linda J. Simpson of Sterling; a granddaughter, Lindsay A. Anderson of Shrewsbury with whom she lived; a niece and Godchild, Jill Simpson and a nephew, James Simpson, both of Sterling; and her beloved four year old Golden Retriever, “Penny”.

Marilyn was Senior Contract Administrator for American Superconductor in Worcester for 14 years, retiring in 2008. Previously, she worked in industry marketing for Digital Equipment Corporation. She was an avid New England sports fan, especially her Boston Red Sox, and enjoyed watching Jeopardy.

A celebration of life for Marilyn will be held on Tuesday, August 5, at 11 a.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.
