HUBBARDSTON – Marilyn B. (Mosher) Curtis, 80, of 52 Flagg Road, died Thursday, June 10, 2004, in the Hospice Residence, Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 52 years, Theodore H. Curtis; a daughter, Carol L. Curtis of Hubbardston; nieces and nephews. A brother, Foster Mosher, predeceased her. She was born in Framingham, daughter of Clarence B. and Alice L. (Hunt) Mosher, and lived in Rutland before moving to Hubbardston 52 years ago. She was a graduate of Rutland High School and New England School of Accounting in Worcester.
Mrs. Curtis was Co-owner and Secretary of Curtis Lumber Company, Peacefull Acre Campground, and Curtsey Farm, all in Hubbardston. She was a member of the Peoples Church in York, Maine, and attended the First Congregational Church of Rutland. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening and spending time in Kittery, Maine.
Mrs. Curtis’s funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 14, in the First Congregational Church of Rutland, 264 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, 142 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Residence, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602; or to the First Congregational Church of Rutland, 264 Main Street, Rutland, MA 01543.
