LEOMINSTER – Marie E. (Napoli) Richard, 71, of Leominster, formerly of Princeton, passed away at home under the loving care of her family on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. She was born in the West End of Boston, a daughter of Frank S. and Benedetta (LoBlundo) Napoli. Marie was raised in Medford and was a 1963 graduate of Medford High School. She met and married the love of her life, Christian E. Richard and celebrated 41 years together until he passed away in 2005. Together with her husband, she owned and operated Morningdale’s Restaurant in Shrewsbury for many years. Marie was a waitress at Barber’s Crossing in Leominster for more than 20 years. She enjoyed monthly card games and weekly bingo with her friends as well as trips to Twin River Casino. She was a member of the Leominster Senior Center and attended St. Richard of Chichester Church in Sterling. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her two daughters, Cheryl A. Robillard and her companion, Jack Tivnan of Fitchburg and Sheila M. Loan and her husband, Thomas of Rutland; two grandchildren, Katie and Riley: her great-grandson, Donovan; her brother, Frank J. Napoli of New York City; her sister, Linda A. Cervera and her husband, Steve of Revere; and many nieces and nephews with whom she had a special bond. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marie's family from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 6, at the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 7 at St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Sterling.
