Marie L. (Cervini) Kaminski, 73, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 20, 2023. She was born in Providence to the late Carl Cervini and Charlotte Caplette. Marie will be remembered as a quick-witted, social butterfly who spent her life making others laugh. She started her family in Agawam where she was the president of the PTO and Jaycees for many years. After moving to Hopedale, she poured her heart into running a daycare and raising her children. Marie had an exuberant personality, and her favorite pastime was talking on the phone. Naturally, this led to a career in sales. The last 10 years of her career were spent at Worcester County Memorial Park where she helped create a social group for widowers called Good Grief. Throughout her life, she brought people together, shared many laughs, danced, and lived by the quote, “today is the first day of the rest of your life.”
Her loving husband of 18 years, Ken Kaminski, passed away in 2017. Together, they enjoyed taking out their boat, camping in RI, and an occasional trip to Vegas. Marie leaves her daughters, Kristin and Korie Ferris both of Holden; three stepsons, Ken Kaminski and his wife, Anne, David Kaminski and his wife, Glenda and Michael Kaminski and his wife, Linda. Marie and Ken shared eight grandchildren: Dylan, Andrew, Emily, Madison, Peter, Julie, Sarah, and Frank. Marie loved her siblings and always wished to return to the ocean and her family in RI. She was predeceased by her son, Jason Ferris and her sister, Judith McSoley.
A graveside service for Marie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27th Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Last Call Foundation, 138 Oak Street, Braintree, MA 02184 (lastcallfoundation.org).
