WORCESTER – Marie B. (LeBlanc) Greene, 68, of St. Francis Home, died peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2009 in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester after an illness.
Her husband of 40 years, John F. Greene and her daughter, Christine Mehdy, predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Greene) Davis and her children, Ross, Benjamin and Nathaniel Davis all of Bennington, NH; 3 brothers, Henry and Rene LeBlanc of Grafton and Raymond LeBlanc of West Boylston; 2 sisters, Teresa O’Connor of Webster and Lucy Gustafson of Worcester. She is predeceased by her brother, Roger LeBlanc. She was born in Worcester the daughter of Wilfred and Antoinette (Allard) LeBlanc and in lived with her husband in Leicester for over 20 years.
Marie worked for several years for the Catholic Charities in Worcester, before becoming a full time homemaker. She was the residential council president for St. Francis Home and its official greeter. She enjoyed playing cards, making puzzles and helping others. She had a quick wit and terrific sense of humor.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 11 to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 30th, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Home, 101 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
