Biography
HUBBARDSTON – Margie Germagian, 44, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 18, 2012. She passed in her home surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of the late Niels-Peter Hansen, Margie leaves her husband of 18 years, Mark H. Germagian; three children, Gregory, Alison and Seth Germagian; her mother, Deborah A. (Howard) Hansen of Hubbardston; two brothers, Peter N. Hansen of New York City and Howard C. Hansen and his wife Mayrena of Gardner; her uncle, Frithjof Carl Hansen and his wife Theresa of Beverly; three aunts, Christiane Hansen-Mitev of Beverly Farms, Margaret Hansen Knowlton and her husband Thomas of Beverly and Sr. Simone of the Evangelical Sisters of Mary of Australia (Priscilla Jane Howard); and many cousins. Her aunt, Karin Hansen Carr, predeceased her.
Margie was born in Northampton, Massachusetts and lived in Hudson before moving to Hubbardston six years ago. She graduated from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts with a degree in Psychology.
Margie was a member of Heritage Bible Chapel and served with the Women’s Ministries. Devoted to Christ as a mother and wife, she schooled her children from home and had a passion for hospitality, bringing joy to all she served. Margie was a gifted woman who lived sacrificially as a faithful wife and loving mother. She did not conform to this world, but gave up worldly pursuits to devote herself to her family.
A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 22, at Rural Cemetery, 142 Main Street (Route 122A) in Rutland, followed by a celebration of Margie’s life at 11:30 a.m. at Heritage Bible Chapel, 182 Brooks Station Road, Princeton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Straight Ahead Ministries, 791 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01610; or to Lighthouse Missions, 299 Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA 01609. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
