Margaret E. Shillinsky

Athol – Margaret E. Shillinsky, 81, died peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2023. She was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Edward F. and Gladys (Leanna) McGuinness.

Margaret will be lovingly missed and remembered by her daughters, Marie B. Long and her husband, Leo of Athol and Michelle Kent of Oxford and her husband, Roy Kent, Jr. of Paxton; her brother, James McGuinness of Rutland; her four grandchildren, Jason H. Chapman, Lee Anne David, Katrina Gerardi and Jennifer Bonaventura.

Margaret graduated from Commerce High School with the class of 1960 and worked for Thermo Electron of Auburn for ten years. More recently Margaret worked as a receptionist for Wagner Motors of Boylston before retiring in 2006. Family was central to Margaret’s life and she enjoyed spending as much time with her children and grandchildren as possible. She will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester.
