WORCESTER - Margaret E. (Jones) Paquette, 94, passed away peacefully after a period of declining health on Sunday, August 22, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in East Douglas, Margaret was the daughter of Raymond H. and Grace M. (Collins) Jones and lived the last 61 years in Worcester. Her husband of 64 years, Louis P. Paquette died on December 10, 2009.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sandra J. Paquette of Rutland, and Linda M. Pschichholtz and her husband, Leslie of Webster; two sons, Ronald P. Paquette of Idaho and Michael H. Paquette and his wife Andrea of Millbury; a sister, Grace Laliberte of Alabama; 10 grandchildren, Timothy Allen, Rebecca Terzian, Jessica Gregorczyk, Arthur, Thomas and Daniel Perry, Arianna Goss, Michael Paquette, Angela LaRoux, and Kimberly Fowler; 21 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Mia, Max, Ella " Bella", Lily Maureen, Micaela, Alex, Nick, Geoffrey, Daniel, Fredrick, Lily, Zack, Ethan, Emma, Abbie, Thomas, Gabriella and Benjamin; and nephews and nieces. Besides her parents, Margaret is predeceased by four brothers, George, Walter, Payson, and Eddie, two sisters, Dorothy, and Marion; a son-in-law, Bill Quiry; and a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Slater.
Margaret, along with her husband, were active members of Quinsigamond United Methodist Church for many years. In her later years, Margaret and her husband Lois enjoyed traveling which included trips to Hawaii, Nova Scotia, and numerous cruises.
She loved spending time with her family and cooking for Sunday dinners, family gatherings and reunions. Margaret was a devoted daughter, a very loving and loved wife and mother and a cherished grandma. She will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Margaret's family from 2 to 3:30 pm on Saturday, September 9, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a "Celebration of Life" service at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please do a kindness for an elderly person in need of some, share smiles, hold hands, and keep gentleness in your hearts.
