STERLING – Margaret “Peggy” M. (King) Murano, 94, formerly of Sharon, passed away on May 29, 2013.
Her beloved husband, Raymond E. Murano passed away in 1999. She leaves four children, Robert Murano and his wife Nina of Vashon, WA, Richard Murano and his wife Gail of Flat Top, WV, Linda Thibeau of Greenville, NH and Andrea Murano and her husband David Hart of Sterling; 5 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to raising her family she was a long-time peace activist and devoted time to causes related to social justice and civil rights. There will be a private celebration of Peggy’s life in June when long-distance family members are able to gather.
For those who wish to pay their respects in honor of Peggy’s memory, there will be a casual open house at Andrea and Dave’s home in Sterling on Friday, May 31st from 4 to 8 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
