Margaret 'Peggy' H. Zottoli

July 23, 1943 — November 7, 2012

PRINCETON - On November 7, 2012, Margaret “Peggy” (Kincner) H. Zottoli, surrounded by friends and family, lost her long brave battle with breast cancer. Peggy was born in New York City to Milo and Margaret Kincner. Peggy moved to Rutland, Massachusetts as a child, the place she really considered her “home town”. She graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1961.

In 1960 William “Bill” Zottoli saw a beautiful blond girl coming out of the Food Fair in Holden and getting into her baby blue ’55 Chevy and he knew that she was the girl for him. They married in 1962 and this year they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Peggy was a well-known figure in the area, having run the William Paul House in Holden for 25 years with her husband, Bill and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Valerie Zottoli. Later she ran the Mountain Barn in Princeton with her husband, Bill and her daughter, Carla. She was also a partner in John Graves Insurance with her longtime friend, Richard Wiles.

Peggy was an amazing woman who touched more lives than any of us can imagine. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Her beloved son, Jay, passed away earlier this year, a heartbreaking loss for her and the entire family.

Peggy is survived by her husband William “Bill” Zottoli; her daughter, Carla Z. DeFosse, her son-in-law, Robert “Bob” DeFosse, and the apple of her eye, her granddaughter, Gabriela DeFosse. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Lena Zottoli; daughter-in-law, Goklian S. Zottoli; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Valerie and Paul Zottoli; nephew, Stephen Zottoli and his wife Mindy and nephew, Craig Zottoli and his partner Kelly.

There will be a celebration of Peggy’s life on Tuesday, November 13, from 5:30-8:30 P.M. at the Mountain Barn Restaurant, 174 Worcester Road, Princeton, MA. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
