Margaret I. (Fessenden) Germain

March 26, 1942 — September 17, 2023

Paxton - In loving memory of Margaret Irene (Fessenden) Germain, 81. She was a beacon of light and love, and her legacy of compassion will forever be etched in those who knew her.

Margaret leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Ronald Germain, her four children: Lisa and her husband Steven Hooten, Ron and his wife Simone Germain, Paul and his wife Christine Germain, Daniel and his wife Cheryl Germain. Margaret was a Nana to 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved sisters, Walda and Marie.

Born on March 26, 1942, in Worcester, Margaret was the daughter of Walter and Elaine (Roslund) Fessenden and later graduated from South High School. Margaret was a proud resident of Paxton.
Margaret embraced every role with grace, as a wife, mother, Nana, and friend. She worked for many years at the TJX company, was a proud 2-time cancer and Lyme disease survivor, and a constant support to other survivors. She participated in the Worcester Relay for life with her friends and family known as “The Helping Hands of Goddard Memorial Drive”. After retirement, Margaret passionately cared for the elderly in her community and had several other organizations that she annually raised money to support. She loved animals, music, bird watching, gardening, and photos. Margaret was proud to fly the American flag and was honored to have two sons and a daughter-in-law serve in the U.S. Air Force. Our family will miss her strength, love, and most of all her sense of humor.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. at the Miles Funeral Home in Holden. A private funeral service will follow.
