OAKHAM – Margaret E. (Finnegan) Paradise, 85, formerly of New Braintree Rd., died peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 in the St. Francis Home, Worcester after an illness.
She leaves four sons, George T. Paradise and his wife Elizabeth of Safety Harbor, FL, John M. Paradise and his wife Linda of Dartmouth, Michael W. Paradise and his wife Julie of West Brookfield, and Stephen P. Paradise and his wife Carol of Oakham; a brother, Thomas Finnegan of Worcester; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Mary Malboeuf and a brother, Henry Finnegan, predeceased her.
Margaret was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Michael and Catherine T. (Murphy) Finnegan and lived 40 years in Oakham. Margaret graduated from St. Stephen's High School and Comptometer School both in Worcester. She worked at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Stephen's Church and Notre Dame Church all in Worcester. Previously, she worked at Atlas Distributors in Worcester. She was an active member of St. Patrick's Church in Rutland and served on its bereavement committee. She was an avid New England sports fan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 10th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday in St. Patrick's Church, 258 Main Street, (Rte. 122A) Rutland. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.
