RUTLAND/WEST BROOKFIELD – Marcia J. (Gordon) Enman, 88, formerly of Rutland and West Brookfield, died peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at UMass Memorial Healthcare, University Campus, Worcester. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Harold W. and Gladys I. (McLeod) Gordon and had lived in Rutland and Florida many years before moving to West Brookfield 8 years ago.
Mrs. Enman is survived by her husband of 67 years, Herbert R. Enman; her children, Nancy Scott and her husband, Robert of West Brookfield, Richard Enman of Greeley, CO, Janet Enman of Rutland, Rebecca Enman of Leicester, Amy Cummings and her husband, Paul of Rutland; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Richard, Robert, Ronald and David Gordon and her sister, Lois Page.
Marcia graduated from North High School in Worcester and worked as a switchboard operator at the former Rutland Heights Hospital for over 20 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of West Brookfield and a member of the Girl Scouts of America Troop of Adam’s Square in Worcester. Marcia loved crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Congregational Church of West Brookfield, 36 North Main St., West Brookfield, MA 01585 or to Matthew 25, 52 Queen St., Worcester, MA 01610-1437.
