Biography
LANCASTER - Dr. Marc H. Speiser of Lancaster passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 surrounded by loving family. For 52 years, he was the beloved husband of Carol J. Speiser; the loving father of Naomi and Joshua; and the adored grandfather of Ruby, Sage, Seamus and Felix. Marc was the son of Samuel and Sarah Speiser and the brother of Lola Schulman. Marc was a Yeshiva boy at The Hebrew Institute of Long Island from grades 3-8. He graduated from Far Rockaway High School with the class of 1955. He graduated from Clark University in 1959 and from Tufts Dental School in 1965. Marc practiced general dentistry in Lunenburg for 25 years, was the president of Agudas Achim in Fitchburg for ten years and was on the Board of Directors at Spectrum house in Westborough. Marc was known for his lifelong love of learning, and wicked sense of humor. He was passionate about his Jewish heritage, fishing and chocolate. During his many years of health challenges he maintained a positive attitude and expressed his gratitude for the tireless support of his wife Carol every day. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 AM ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15TH, AT CONGREGATION AGUDAT ACHIM, 268 WASHINTON STREET, LEOMINSTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. A private burial for family to follow. Memorial Observance will be held at his residence from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 17th. A Minyan service will be held at 7:00 PM.Memorial donations can be made to: Spectrum Health Systems in Worcester, 10 Mechanic Street, Suite 301, Worcester, MA 01605, Chabad of Westboro, 54 South Street, Westborough, MA 01581 or Congregation Shaarei Zadeck, 105 Water Street, Clinton, MA 01510.
