S Ethel M. (Allen) Burnham

HOLDEN – Ethel M. (Allen) Burnham, 90, a 62-year resident of Holden died Sunday, August 2, 2009 in the Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center, Holden, after an illness.
Her husband of 64 years, Harold A. Burnham died in 2003. She leaves a son, Clarence W. Burnham and his wife Marilyn of Holden; a daughter-in-law, Beverly A. Burnham of Naples, Florida; three grandchildren, Sandra L. Olson and her husband Michael of Sterling, Dale R. Burnham and his wife Kathy of Louisville, Kentucky and Beth A. Bylund and her husband James, Jr. of Auburn; and six great-grandchildren. A son, Harold F. Burnham died in 2007.
Ethel was born in Berlin, Massachusetts, the daughter of Walter and Dorothy (Pierce) Allen. She was a lifetime member of the Northborough Grange, a 15-year volunteer for the meals on wheels program at the Holden Senior Center and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening.
Funeral services and burial are private. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to the Friends of the Holden Council on Aging, 1130 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is directing arrangements.
