Mabel E. (Davidson) Morrow

PAXTON – Mabel E. (Davidson) Morrow, 86, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014 at the Meadows in Leicester after an illness. She was born in Sterling, the daughter of Harrison L. and Helen L. (Gilbert) Davidson and had lived most of her life in Paxton.
Her husband of 55 years, Stuart W. Morrow, passed away in 2002. She leaves a son, Andrew S. Morrow of Paxton; a daughter, Evelyn L. Morrow of Worcester; a sister, Evelyn Briel of Pennsylvania; a grandson, Kurt Morrow of Warren; and nephews, nieces and cousins.
Mabel worked with her family on the Morrow Brothers Farm and was a baker at Paxton Center School for 37 years retiring in 2002. She enjoyed traveling, chocolate fudge, latch hooking and playing bingo and the Jumble. In the early years, she loved to ride in the MG and motorcycle with her husband.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Mabel will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, in the funeral home followed by a committal service at Old Howard Cemetery in Sutton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
