RUTLAND – Lysa Marie (Walker) Ringgard, 56, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. Born in Syracuse, NY and raised in Holden, Lysa was the daughter of Edward Walker and the late Joanne (Paino) Walker and lived the last 25 years in Rutland.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 29 years, James W. Ringgard; two children, Alec J. and Ryanne L. Ringgard, both of Rutland; her father, Edward Walker of Holden; and her mother-in-law, Carolyn Ringgard of Paxton. Besides her father, Lysa is predeceased by her brother, Mark Walker.
Lysa graduated from St. Peter-Marian High School and later attended Quinsigamond Community College, both in Worcester. She worked for Reliant Healthcare in Worcester as a personal support specialist. Previously, she ran a daycare out of her home for 11 years, worked for Paul Revere Life Insurance Co. in Worcester and was a licensed hairdresser.
She loved riding horses and drawing in her free time. Most importantly, Lysa loved being a mother and tending to her family. She will be remembered for her gentle and kind nature.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 4-7 pm, Tuesday, January 18th at Miles Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held at the funeral home.
