HOLDEN – Lynne B. (Beach) Fitch, 63, of 14 Driftwood Drive, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, March 30, 2005.
She leaves her husband of 40 years, Roger A. Fitch; two sons, Jeffrey F. Fitch of Worcester and James A. Fitch and his wife Mai Luong of Framingham; a daughter, Pamela F. Teeter and her husband Herrick of Tully, New York; a half-sister, Gail Dailey of Rochester, New York; and two grandchildren, Emily and Jaden Teeter. She was born in Camden, New Jersey, daughter and step-daughter of Helen (Clarke) Beach and Dr. Walter Crist. She attended Skidmore College and graduated from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in New York City.
Lynne was a Registered Nurse for 40 years and currently worked at UMass Memorial Hospital, Memorial Campus. Previously she coordinated junior volunteers at Holden Hospital. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Holden and a former member of the Worcester Master Singers and Junior League.
Lynne had two great loves in her life: Nursing, and her children and grandchildren. A caring and competent nurse, she took pride in her profession and considered her co-workers as members of her family. Lynne was devoted to her children and grandchildren who were the light of her life. For enjoyment Lynne read incessantly, treasured the time she could spend in her garden and looked forward to the sands of Truro each summer.
The memorial service for Lynne will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, in the First Congregational Church of Holden, 1180 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will be private. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 4, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church of Holden Building Fund, 1180 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520; or Hope Lodge, 7 Oak Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
