Biography

Holden – Lynn (Hoxie) Brothers, 57, formerly of Athol and Worcester, died peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester. Lynn was born in Athol, a daughter of the late Jack and Esther (Morandi) Hoxie and lived in Worcester before moving to Holden with her family over 14 years ago.
Lynn grew up in Athol and went on to study Administrative Assistant courses at Becker College and later graduated from Worcester State University with a Bachelor’s in Business Management. She earned a Master’s in Business at Assumption College in Worcester.
Lynn worked as the office manager in the office of Dr. Metzmaker in Worcester for over 20 years. She went on to work as a teacher’s aide at Mountview Middle School in Holden over the last ten years and was a member at St. Mary’s Church in Holden. Lynn was a lover of all things Disney and had been a devoted “Dance Mom” to her daughter, Mary for 15 years. She was a caring and devoted friend to many.
She is survived by her husband, Peter Brothers of Holden; her daughter, Mary of Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI; and a sister, Karen Hoxie of Rutland.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours for Lynn from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 8th at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A private funeral service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
