HOLDEN – Anne (Kochinskas) Lunney, 92, of Flagler Drive, died Monday, September 18, 2006 in the Hospice Residence, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, after an illness.
Her husband of 54 years, Hugh T. Lunney, died in 1989. She leaves two daughters, Elizabeth A. Zeena and her husband Richard and Ellen M. Zeena all of Holden; a sister, Rose Klosowski of Bristol, Connecticut; five grandchildren, Robert Zeena and his wife Karen of Cheshire, Connecticut, Timothy Zeena and his wife Lisa of Boxborough, Richard Zeena and his wife Erin of Princeton, Scott Zeena and his wife Colleen and Beth Dowd and her husband Andrew, all of Holden; and 10 great-grandchildren. Three brothers, John, Joseph and Peter Kochinskas, and three sisters, Mary DeSavage, Adele Degnis and Albina Tapley, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Adam and Eva (Ospipowich) Kochinskas, and lived in Holden for 40 years.
Mrs. Lunney worked at the Webster Square Stop & Shop for 24 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, the Holden Senior Walkers, and enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Holden Senior Center.
The funeral for Mrs. Lunney will be held on Saturday, September 23, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1325 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, September 22, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA Care Hospice Residence at Coe’s Pond, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608-1280.
