WORCESTER – Luis E. Montalvo, 69, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, after an illness.
He leaves his loving husband of 33 years, Brian E. Dukehart, his son, Luis E. Montalvo, and his granddaughter, Luanni. He is also remembered by his brother, Ralph A. Montalvo of Worcester, his nieces and nephews, as well as a large extended family in Puerto Rico.
Luis was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, the son of Pedro F. and Maria C. (Cantres) Montalvo. He graduated from Becker College with a master’s degree in Nursing and was a registered nurse for many years before retiring. Luis was a dedicated caregiver to his mother in her later years of life until she passed away in 2018. He lived in Washington, D.C. for several years before returning to Worcester in 2002.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services are private and will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
